Watch: Draymond Green Makes Insane Covid Comments About Teammate Andre Wiggins Ahead of 2020-21 Season Start
Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins
Draymond Green has surely been of the most out spoken players in the modern-day NBA and his recent comments are only going justify this claim. Ina press conference on Thursday, Green defended his Golden State Warriors’ teammate Andrew Wiggins Covid-19 vaccine reticence. Moreover, Green went onto compare Wiggins’ entering labor and ended with something about the polio vaccine.
Moving on, later in the press conference, the Golden State Warriors’ marquee defender went one step ahead, Draymond Green lamented that the government is strongly encouraging Americans to get vaccinated and that in doing so, they are not giving anyone freedom.
Draymond Green Defends Andre Wiggins by Making Insane Comments About Covid 19 Vaccine
“That’s something that’s personal to him, that’s health-related, that’s personal to him and his family,” Draymond Green said during his treatise about a disease that’s killed at least 680,000 Americans. “This is no different. We’re dealing with something that to me feels has turned into a political war.”
“You say we live in the land of the free,” Green said. “Well, you’re not giving anyone freedom because you’re making people do something, essentially without necessarily making them, you’re making them do something.”
“I know I’m not in any position to tell what he should or should not be doing,” Draymond Green concluded Thursday. “I’m not going to go and ask him, ‘Did you get a polio vaccine?’ So, why would I ask him if he got a COVID vaccine?”
The polio vaccine successfully eliminated polio from most of the world, which is perhaps why Green never thought to ask teammate Andrew Wiggins about it.
Having said that with the NBA 2021-22 Season just around the corner, teams and all its players need to be fully aware about taking all the necessary safety precautions. So that the on-going season doesn’t have to be halted mid-way due to any unforeseen scenario. Lastly, Green’s response was supported by the arguable G.O.A.T of basketball, LeBron James on Twitter as well.
