JaVale McGee
JaVale McGee becomes prime Dirk Nowitzki in the 4th quarter against the Miami Heat, has shocked the fans this season with his abilities, many considering it to be his prime year in the NBA.
JaVale McGee is the missing piece for their title hopes
JaVale McGee has been a huge difference-maker this season for the Phoenix Suns. He has not disappointed Chris Paul who saw the potential McGee has. McGee has helped teams win championships with the little time he has been with the teams, such as the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. This time he has found a home for himself in the form of the Phoenix Suns.
Charles Oakley has previously said about what JaVale McGee is for the Phoenix Suns, “All they needed was a tough big man last year, and they could have won a championship,” he also said the alternative to Bobby Portis is JaVale McGee, “If they had Bobby Portis in Phoenix, they would have beat Milwaukee. I love his game, and what he does. He can shoot the three, he can post, he can rebound, he’s athletic and he’s tough, and that’s what Phoenix needed, another veteran, tough guy.” JaVale McGee is sure as hell a tough guy in the NBA. In his 14th season, he is one of the smartest big guys in the NBA.
JaVale McGee shocks the NBA world with a Dirk Nowitzki Shot
With the absence of Chris Paul, the team is going to need all the help they can get from their bench, and JaVale McGee was up for the task against their game with Miami Heat. JaVale McGee threw a shot like Dirk Nowitzki used to shoot, turning outside creating space for a shot, he had the commentators remember the prime of Dirk Nowitzki with the move. JaVale McGee this season has averaged 9.4 points, 0.6 assists, and 6.8 rebounds. The stats are on the downside but considering the minutes he has played this season he can be said to be having a good season, especially for the Suns.
Against the Heat JaVale McGee played just 16 minutes, and for that many minutes, he got 11 points and 15 rebounds. He helped the Suns defensively and took the show with a Dirk Nowitzki move on Bam Adebayo. The Suns are sitting at the top spot with a comfortable gap with having 8 wins more than the second-placed Memphis Grizzlies. JaVale McGee will be hoping to cap off another season with the NBA title, he sure has joined a team that feels like home and sure is a title contender.
