Kyrie Irving and James Harden
James Harden was the man assigned by Brooklyn Nets alongside Kyrei Irving to lead the Nets in Kevin Durant’s absence. And now, with the Beard partying ways with the team on trade deadline day, the Nets have a completely new-shaped roster with Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond making way into their roster. On a recent occasion, Harden was inquired upon his blunt take on Irving’s vaccine stance, to just get a different view perhaps.
To those who are not aware, the Nets’ Big 3 of KD, Harden and Kyrie only played together in 16 games since they were assembled in 2020-21 season. Safe to say, with injurie woes and Kyrie Irving’s denial to get vaccine, the Nets experienced a nightmare ride. But was James Harden particular someone, who suffered from the same?

What was opinionated by James Harden on Kyrie Irving’s vaccination stance?

James Harden stated via the Recount, “Very minimal. Obviously, me and Kyrie are really good friends. Whatever he is going through, that’s his personal preference but it definitely did impact the team because originally, me, Kyrie, KD on the court, you know, and winning covers up a lot of that stuff, but it was unfortunate we played just 16 games out of whatever it was and you know, it is what it is.”
That being said, now with Harden lining up alongside Joel Embiid in Philadelphia76ers’ side, it will be interesting to see if the Beard can get back to his scoring best. Given that he majorly struggled on the offensive end (for which he’s known) and always was seen as a second-fiddle to Irving and Durant, James Harden will have a chance to redeem his lost reputation.

However, with Harden’s latest comment it is indeed interesting to know that both these concerned are still good friends as there were rumors earlier that both of them could not see eye to eye when the Brooklyn nets went onto register loss after loss after loss. Lastly, with a fresh start for the former MVP all set to unravel in Sin City, let’s hope he will be able to get back to his best and give hoop fans some more spectacles to remember.
