For the Spurs, Dejounte Murray’s franchise record-tying 14th career triple-double was spoiled by the defeat. Murray tied David Robinson for 14 career triple-doubles as he put up 16 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. Devin Vassell scored 20 points off the bench for the Spurs, which was the team-high. Four of the five Spurs’ starters scored in double-digits but clearly, that was not enough as they fell short by eight points.

Ja Morant stuns the entire Spurs at once

Ja Morant during the 3rd quarter made a scintillating play that caught everybody by surprise. Morant, during the play, came off the screen but as a result, he was now being guarded by his old defender plus the switched defender. Morant slick with his dribbles, went behind the back splitting the defense to penetrate and drive to the rim.

As he went for the drive, he was immediately triple-teamed as he went along paint’s elbow. Morant, known for his fine court vision, saw Brandon Clarke. Morant then wasted no time in throwing the lob to him off the left hand as he imbalanced out of bounds. Clarke then caught the lob and finished it perfectly.
