“He lacks the intangibles, whether it’s just his philosophies and beliefs that get in the way of basketball” Chris Broussard condemns Kyrie Irving as a substandard leader
Chris Broussard condemns Kyrie Irving
In this season, Kyrie Irving has played a very short role but an effective one for the Brooklyn Nets campaign. Although being out for half of the season, it seems that Kyrie was prepared to bring the Nets out of the struggle if they ever faced any trouble. Kyrie was not allowed to play at the home court due to his decision of not vaccinating himself, but he was later allowed to join in the road games for the Nets.
Since his debut, Kyrie has shown exceptional performance whenever the team is out of their turf, in which he always gave his best but his true test occurred when Kevin Durant got injured and James Harden was traded. The Nets were left without any leader here where Kyrie took the control but quite failed to manage the thing but when KD rejoined the team after recovery Irving also started exploding in the game as he now gets the proper backing.

Chris Broussard disagrees with Antoine Walker’s stance of Kyrie Irving being the greatest scorer of all-time
Kyrie Irving through his recent performance of 60 points has started a lot of conversation oh him. The first one to give his opinion is Antoine Walker whole believes that the Brooklyn Nets star is the greatest scoring point guard of all time. But Sports analyst Chris Broussard totally disagrees with Walker’s statement as he believes that Kyrie lacks leadership.
Chris Broussard with Rob Parker made his appearance on ‘The Odd Couple’ podcast where he said, “I think Kyrie lacks the intangibles, whether it’s just his philosophies and beliefs that get in the way of basketball or whatever. But he hasn’t shown that he can be a great leader. He’s a strong personality. To me, he’s the strongest personality on the Nets but I don’t think he’s shown that he’s a great leader.”
During this conversation, Broussard talked about how other point guards are far better than Kyrie Irving in scoring, he said, “No. 1 is Steph (Curry). People do Steph a disservice when they say he’s only a great shooter. Steph can finish, he has mid-range.”
While Broussard also mentioned the Philadelphia 76ers legendary guard Allen Iverson is superior to the Nets star guard in scoring. Even so, Irving’s impact on the game is unquestionable.

Moreover, the Nets are only left with the twelve games in their hands in which Kyrie will only play for three games with the team. So it will be interesting to watch whether Irving can prove Broussard’s claims wrong by performing exceptionally in the remaining games.
