LeBron James this season, in Numbers
LeBron James in this game became the first NBA player ever to have 40+ points and 10+ rebounds in a game in less than 30 minutes. King James already had a double-double midway into the 2nd quarter and ended the first half with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
LeBron James is now into a seven-game streak of scoring 30+ points, the fifth of his career (with at least seven games), and the first since his Miami Heat days. LeBron’s longest streak has been 10 games with 30+ points, which was back in the 2005-06 NBA season. Speaking of streaks, this was LeBron’s first game with zero turnovers since the 2nd October 2020 game against the Miami Heat, in the NBA finals. He was on 79-game streak in which he had turned the ball over at least one time.
LeBron also became the 4th oldest player to have a 40/10 game in the NBA at 37 years, only behind Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Karl Malone. He also became only the 2nd player to have 40+ points with zero turnovers at age 35 years or more, only after Michael Jordan, who has done it three times.
LeBron James is currently averaging 28.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists per game this season. The Lakers will next host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
