But how much is too much? When does it cross the line? It definitely is not easy for those particular individuals to answer questions over and over again put forth by multiple people at the same time. In the NBA, Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has been a victim many times in his decade-long career.

Charles Barkley makes a snarky comment on Kyrie Irving’s availability concerns

The hosts of the show NBA on TNT are known for their comedic reactions and hilarious takes on various happenings around the league. For years we have witnessed the group comment and poke fun at players of the game, but did Charles Barkley go too far with his words directed at Irving?

The 58-year old legend has been very open and honest about his feelings towards the guard of the Brooklyn Nets. Before the Nets went up against the Washington Wizards, Barkley came up with a new nickname for Irving, “Half-Man, Half-A-Season,” as footage of the player in warm-ups rolled.

This was obviously taken out of context from another NBA great Vince Carter’s nickname, “Half-Man, Half-Amazing.” Charles to the opportunity to fire shots at the situation surrounding the all-star guard after only being permitted to participate in road games. Kyrie has played in 13 out of 55 games and returned to his team in January.

Admits the chaos unfolding with the Brooklyn Nets after losing a very valuable asset in James Harden, tensions build as the team is left with only one of their core members in Kyrie Irving. In a post-game interview, Irving responded to the remarks of Barkley and he did not seem pleased about it.

“This hasn’t been easy for anybody. The more that you guys keep hammering in on this and also in public spaces, I’m noticing that people like to make jokes about what is going on. The outside noise creeps in at times, but it doesn’t impact me because I’m used to this.”

Irving was certainly not too pleased about the comments especially since he has made it clear that he did not expect to be out of the game this season. He further went on to say that he is trying his best to keep the team afloat especially after losing a player as impactful as James Harden. Kyrie Irving remains the only core member of the group as Kevin Durant’s condition is still in recovery.
