Klay Thompson with Jamal Murray
We all know how NBA stars struggle when they get injured during the game and are not able to play for months, Klay Thompson and Jamal Murray are a few examples of the players who have seen these situations. Klay recently empathized with the Denver Nuggets star guard Murray during his rehab from the ACL injury.
Jamal Murray has an exceptional talent for basketball which he has even proved. Prior to his injury, he had averaged 21.6 PPG, 4 RPG, and 4.8 APG with 40% accuracy from behind the arc. Just because of his performance the Nuggets were able to give tough competition to big teams like the Mavericks, Warriors, and Clippers last season.

Klay Thompson shares pain and encourages Jamal Murray in his recovery phase
During an unfortunate event, Jamal Murray faced an ACL tear during their game against the Golden State Warriors last April. When he was on the court injured and absorbing the pain he refused to move out on a wheelchair and walked with his arms draped over two staff members.
This mental toughness which Murray showed in the game was empathized by Klay Thompson as he was recovering from his ankle injury that time In a recent interview to the Denver Post, Klay recalled his conversation with Jamal Murray when he met him in the visiting locker room after the game.
Klay Thompson said, “I told him that I felt for him, first off. I can tell by how competitive he is. If he channels that competitiveness into his daily tasks he has to do for his knee, he’s going to be an All-Star level player again. He’s so important to their team, him and Jokic. I really felt for him in that instance, because I’ve been there, and it’s kind of uncharted territory. He’s in the prime of his career. It just sucks, not just for the Nuggets but for the whole NBA”
Further, Klay discussed how he feels togetherness with the situation Jamal Murray is facing currently, he appreciated his basketball skill encouraged him to bounce back in the NBA.
Klay added, “I felt for him. I love his game. I think he’s a great lead guard, can do everything. I know he’ll bounce back because his skill level is so high. Great athlete, too. I’ve seen him catch a lot of bodies. He’ll gain that back because I did in my jumping knee, too.”
