Now it’s been kind of noticeable to the fans that the Lakers are not having their good season. The re-joining of Isaiah Thomas and Carmelo Anthony was supposed to add to the team but as the last two games went for the Lakers it doesn’t seem like that.
In the match against the Chicago Bulls, though Lebron James brought 31 points to the for the Lakers it didn’t help them much as DeMar DeRozan’s alone 38 points were a lot to handle. Chicago Bulls beat the Lakers by 115-110 on the final board.
Not having an impactful centre except for DeAndre Jordan, the Lakers suffered in the paint. Letting 19 turnovers and 16 offensive rebounds, Lakers were slipping in the Bulls hand. Though Isaiah Thomas gave a lightning start to the Laker’s scoring 13 points in the first 32 minutes of the game it didn’t affect much to the Bulls as the former Lakers Lonzo and Caruso didn’t hold back and scored 19 and 17 points respectively.

LeBron James played well against the Bulls as he went mad in the fourth quarter of the game scoring 31 points with almost 52% per cent shooting from the field. LeBron and DeMar have faced each other’s multiple times in the playoffs when they were both the Eastern Conference of the league, while LeBron playing for Cavaliers and DeMar playing for the Raptors.

Though the rivalry of the two has been for years but the fact is not hidden that they both appreciate each other’s play. Speaking highly about LeBron James in a post-game conference DeMar said
“I’ve said it over and over. I got the utmost respect for LeBron. Arguably I can say, I’ve competed against one of the all-time greatest players in my generation of basketball and you now it’s a blessing to be able to share the floor with him from the playoff series to being in the Eastern Conference with him, to All-Star games. You know, It’s definitely one of those situations that when I’m older I can say I played against that guy, so no nothing but utmost respect for LeBron.”
Speaking of the game itself, it was a fun and thrilling game. Both the teams are top teams of the league having bigger names in their franchise. The Lakers had a great game but certainly DeMar’s greatness out shined them all.
