“I want to win man, I don’t care about nothing else but winning”: James Harden on representing Nets for 40 minutes in consecutive games

James Harden was seen struggling during the opening weeks of the season and didn’t really had a impact on Brooklyn Nets to secure a win. The rule changes affected his game since he isn’t able to get as many free throws he used to in the past. James also had a tough time shooting the ball from midway and even the three pointer line but now he is settling and getting better day by day.

James Harden is averaging 20.8 PPG, 7.9 RPG and 9.6 APG this season for the Brooklyn Nets. The 32 year old had a slow pace during the start but as the season continues he is striving back and putting in every effort so the team can win. Even when James is having a hard time while getting buckets he comes up as a good playmaker and provides his teammates with wide open shots and easy finishes.

“The Beard”
has been playing for straight 40 minutes for multiple games this season and putting his all energy and efforts in the game so Kevin Durant doesn’t has to handle all the pressure of Brooklyn Nets‘ offense alone. James last 3 games where he recorded a much better stat line and had a big impact on the offensive end are some of those where he played for approximately 40 and more minutes.

James Harden

In the post game interview after registering a win against the Atlanta Hawks when a reporter asked James Harden on his playing time he replied saying:“40 [minutes]. 3 times in a row. 40. I want to win man. I don’t care about nothing else but winning. I don’t care about nothing else. That’s all. I try to attack mode, try to find open players and just play the game the right way. Whatever it takes to win.”

Showing his efforts and will to win the games even if he had to play 40 minutes. James also added how he tries his best in every direction possible from finding open players to making shots himself. James told the reporters at Atlanta that he isn’t worried about the play time he just wants to win the game and is okay with this heavy shoulders.

James played 40 minutes while dropping 20 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds against the Atlanta Hawks. If Harden catches up the rhythm and comes back to his original MVP form and Brooklyn Nets manage to get a solution for Kyrie Irving and a healthy Kevin Durant which is already available the Nets will surely be the biggest championship contender team in the league with these Big 3 together.
