“I’m betting on him”: Stephen Curry confident on Klay Thompson finding a track back to swishing despite an on-going shooting slump
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson the duo which goes by the name of “Splash Brothers” is finally back together on the same court after 2 and a half seasons. Klay Thompson has returned back in the league after many delays of his decided schedule. The Golden State Warriors again have the best shooting backcourt which can also be named as the best offensive back court in the league back after two years as Klay was recovering from a torn ACL and a ruptured Achilles.
The Golden State Warriors recently hosted the Indiana Pacers at Chase Center the game didn’t really fall down to expectations. As after a close contested and head to head match-up the Indiana Pacers stepped up winning it all in the over-time. The Indiana Pacers are currently ranked as the 13th seed in the eastern conference with the record of 17 wins and 29 losses at .370 as they are finding their way back while thinking and initiating a rebuild. On the other hand the Golden State Warriors are currently ranked as the second seed in the western conference with the record of 32 wins and 13 losses at .711.
The only reason the Golden State Warriors fell short against the Pacers was their offensive end as they shot only 21.4% from the downtown which is making 9 shots from the 42 attempted in total. The team also committed 21 turnovers while bringing up the ball which resulted in gifting away free points and selling the lead as well as the game since the final score is 117-121. One of the main concerns for the Dub Nation which is pointed out the most especially for this loss is the on-going shooting slump of Klay Thompson. With everyone worried with the situation around Klay, Curry in the post game interview came forward while letting everyone know he has all his money on him as he believes Klay will find a track back over the period of time.

Stephen Curry on Klay Thompson’s shooting slump
Stephen Curry had Klay Thompson backed up like always when questioned about his shooting slump in the post game after he went 0 for 7 against the Indiana Pacers. Curry in his reply quoted: “Everything he’s gone through is hard over two and a half years. I am betting on him to figure it out over time. Like there’s no doubt that since I know him and his mind-set and the confidence he has in himself and he keeps shooting….. I kept telling him the hundred and one like, you shoot a hundred shoots you miss but the hundred and one is going in. Like imma keep telling that message since it’s going to come in. But everything he is going through 2 and a half years off, the minute restrictions, not really being able to find a flow. You know it’s tough. But I keep the big picture in mind set of every thing he is going through. Obviously we are rocking with him and every shot he takes we think it’s going in and nothing changes on that.”
Stephen Curry really looked like a elder brother while defending Klay as he spoke out loud saying his money is on him. Since Klay’s return the Warriors who where a Championship contender even before it have just got better as Thompson’s game isn’t limited as he bags all skills from swishing to dunking and gifting posters as we all saw in his debut. The Golden State Warriors have a real shot to the conference finals this year as they are amongst the best in rankings who can win it all when healthy. There are also not many teams in the league who even stand a chance against the Dubs in a seven game series so a long and mad run this season is a sure case for the team having its all pieces healthy and together.
