Finally, when the Brooklyn Nets were back on track and performing well in the games, a new problem has confronted them. On Saturday night, the Nets faced the Pelicans and the result was in the favor of the Nets but Kevin Durant’s knee injury in between the game has given them a new headache.

The match started with the usual starting line-up for the Nets and Durant was looking in good form. In the game, Nets led the Pelicans with a score of 69-41 till half time but just before that KD was seen tottering on the court. Due to which the Nets later announced the Durant won’t be able to play the rest of the game because of a left knee sprain.

When KD’s teammate and star guard James Harden was asked about Durant’s injury during the post-game press conference he clarified that he has not yet talked to Durant about his knee injury.

“I spoke to him at halftime, said somebody kinda ran into him. No, I was just lifting weights so I haven’t spoken to him yet. I’ll call him,” Harden said.

He later added, “I think he gets an MRI tomorrow so we’ll see what happens. But hopefully, it’s not bad at all.”

James Harden even took the discussion to Twitter where he shared his image with the caption, “It’s never gone be you against the world cuz imma back you up.”

It’s true that after KD’s injury, Harden took command of the squad and led the Nets towards the victory against the Pelicans with a score of 120-105. He scored 27 points in the game and he was later supported by the Net’s sixth man Cameron Thomas who scored 20 points for them.

Moreover, it will be a big blow for the Nets if Kevin Durant’s knee injury is serious, because they just got their rhythm back to win the games and after this incident, it is sure that the Net’s consistency will be surely get affected in the game.

Till now there is no update on his injury but it looks like he is going to miss the game against the Lakers and which is a huge upset for all the NBA fans as they will again not be able to spectate the matchup between LeBron James and Kevin Durant in the last 4 years
