Luka Doncic has been playing a prodigious game for Dallas Mavericks since he was drafted in NBA. Doncic is also considered as the successor of former Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki who single-handedly led the franchise to their first-ever NBA championship. Doncic has done the same duty as he has led the mavericks to the playoff many times on his own.

Though Doncic is just playing his fourth season still the skillset shown by him reflects that of an experienced veteran player. In Mavericks’ recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Luka Doncic created a new record in the franchise history which shock the NBA universe.

On Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks faced Memphis Grizzlies who were riding their 11-game winning streak. Mavericks gave an end to the Grizzlies winning streak and all credits go to Luka Doncic, he scored 27 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and recorded the 40th triple-double of his career creating the franchise record which ended the record of his former teammate Dirk Nowitzki.

Doncic currently is only 22 years old and he is still in the initial stage of his career but his performance in the game showcases a different level of his basketball IQ. During his draft, he was considered as the player with potential but his potential will be shown so early was unexpected by everyone.

Grizzlies unable to make comeback in the game

Luka dominated the Grizzlies with his exceptional ball-handling and passing skills, he scored most of his points from inside the arc with 54.5% shooting accuracy and didn’t give the Grizzlies any chance to make any come back in the game. The Mavericks defeated the Grizzlies with a 112-85 score and improved their ranking in the western conference

For the Grizzlies, JA Morant tried to fight back with 19-points, 5-rebounds, and 8-assists but it was not enough to stop Luka Doncic who was in full mood to crush Grizzlies. As the season moves ahead, the fight for playoffs will get more interesting, and watching the youngsters and future of the NBA giving their best creates more excitement for the fans.
