LeBron James has been on many teams and has played alongside several superstars. He has also been a part of many superteams. But ‘Fab 5’ is a special one because that’s where all of it started for the King. James’ high school basketball team is dubbed “Fab 5” and every one of those guys lived up to the expectations of the nickname.
LeBron James, Dru Joyce III, Romeo Travis, Sian Cotton, and Willie McGee are the “Fab 5.” All of them played together at St. Vincent St. Mary High Time Akron, Ohio. LeBron James went on to win three state championships with the “Fab 5.” The team is also considered to be the best high school team of that era, as it featured GOAT, LeBron James, and several talented hoopers who made it to the professional scene later.
LeBron James is a family man and always takes care of the people around him. So there’s no doubt about him still being friends with the “Fab 5.” He’s been spotted hanging around with his former teammates many times. They even have a documentary, “More Than A Game” highlighting their friendship which was released in 2008.
Recently, Peacock also released a new drama film, “Shooting Stars,” covering the story of LeBron James’ high school team, “Fab 5.” Their head coach Dru Joyce II has even confirmed their friendship while talking about the movie and the story displayed.

Everyone knows LeBron James has been in the league balling out for the past 20 seasons and as of now donning a Lakers jersey. But not many even have a fair idea about his high-school teammates, “The Fab 5.” Dru Joyce III works as the Assistant Head Coach of Duquesne Dukes alongside Keith Dambrot who coached the Fab 5. He also has 2 daughters and a son and goes by the nickname, Lil Dru.
Willie McGee recently has been working with LBJ himself. He’s a We are a family coach/ AD of IPS for the LeBron James Family Foundation. He is also the CEO of The Dale Program where he focuses on helping children. He has 2 children and in the past was the Director of Athletics at St. Vincent St. Mary for 7 good years.
Sian Cotton had an NFL dream after school and even tried his best. But soon he turned towards the music industry and is a musician now. He also has a track in NBA 2K14 and currently, is a representative for HR Mezcal. Cotton is a proud father to a daughter and a son. Romeo Travis was out there balling out professionally till 2021. Now he is serving as an assistant coach to his coach Dru Joyce II at St. Vincent St. Mary. Travis has 4 kids: a son and three daughters.
