Gary Payton II has played absolutely exceptional this season, as role player of the Warriors bench, he has given his best to fulfill the responsibility. His gameplay and basketball IQ have started taking place in the hearts of NBA fans.

Payton has always been a great hustle player but now he’s off the court passion towards humanity is showing his spirit for the welfare of society. Recently, in the match against the Detroit Piston, Payton invited the children who are suffering from dyslexia as his guest.

In dyslexia it becomes hard for children to read, spell, write or pronounce words clearly, Payton suffered the same disability in his childhood and he understands the pain of these children more than anyone.

Gary Payton II collaborates with DDCA for the welfare of disabled children’s

Just a few weeks before the game against the Detroit Piston, Gary Payton II met the official representative of Decoding Dyslexia California (DDCA) and even hosted a virtual event for the Dyslexic children. In this event, he explained the issues and difficulties a dyslexic child faces and how to overcome those things.

Later, Payton invited some Dyslexic children in collaboration with DDCA to his game against the Detroit Piston which they won by a 102-86 score. Before his warmup routine, Payton visited the children gave them high-fives, and even shook hands with them. This gesture by him was highly acknowledged by NBA Twitter.

Payton’s respect towards the disabled children and the action he took for their upbringing is beyond appreciation.

The Golden State Warriors won their 32nd match which has placed them on the second seed in the Western Conference. Payton is not only receiving appreciation for his off-court work also in this season he has averaged 7.7 PPG and 3-6 RPG.

Payton is also averaging 63.5% shooting accuracy in the field and 40.3% from outside the arc which is pretty good stats for a role player, he scored 5 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assists against the Detroit Pistons.
