Kobe Bryant’s induction ceremony is scheduled to start exactly at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. This will also be aired live by the ESPN. The event will be hosted by Lisa Salters while hall of fame rings and jackets will be delivered to the class of 2020. Various other awards also will be presented, including the John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement given to Tim Nugent, the Curt Gowdy Media Award given to Michael Wilbon, Mike Breen, Jim Gray and TNT’s “Inside the NBA” and the Mannie Jackson Human Spirit Award given to Wayne Embry, George Raveling and Bill Russell.

“The family had time to think about what they wanted to do,” said Doleva during Friday’s news conference for the 2020 inductees.  “[It’s] about Kobe’s accomplishments but also about what Kobe was after he left the Lakers, after he left basketball.” The 18-time All-Star will be honored by the 6-time NBA champion Michael Jordan. This is surely a proud moment as Vanessa Bryant, his wife would deliver the induction speech. Fans will look forward to celebrating Kobe’s legacy and offering their tribute at the enshrinement ceremony.

Moreover, Kobe Bryant will be honored by a small exhibit at the ceremony. It is titled as “Kobe: A Basketball Life” that may be a mixtape of his impeccable career in the NBA. It was Jordan who received a similar tribute back when he was inducted into HOF list. The ceremony was delayed from August because of the pandemic. But it is finally happening now and LeBron James is much more excited than the fans. LeBron revealed how desperate he was to witness this exhibit earlier. Watching his idol getting into the history is one of an achievement for him.
