Lakers Coach Frank Vogel drops truth bombs on LeBron James’ Covid-19 situation
Frank Vogel and LeBron James
As things were already going downhill for the purple and gold army, the LA Lakers have made an announcement out of nowhere that their marquee scorer LeBron James has entered the NBA Health and Safety Protocol ahead of the matchup against Sacramento Kings. Surrounding which, coach Frank Vogel has dropped truth bombs on the same situation.
To those who are not aware, Los Angeles Lakers’ coach Frank Vogel addressed the sudden turn of events. LeBron was not in the Lakers’ injury report heading into the game, so it came as a surprise when he was ruled out indefinitely due to the COVID-19 protocol.

What was opinionated by Frank Vogel on LeBron James?
“Obviously it’s a huge loss. It’s disappointing. … We have a next-man-up mindset,” Frank Vogel stated upon LeBron James’ Covid-19 situation. The former Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic coach also shared that they found out about LeBron James’ condition on Tuesday morning.
As reported earlier as well, LeBron will need at least 10 days before he can return, which means he will be missing the Lakers’ next four games–including the game against the Kings.
He could be eligible to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 10 once he clears the 10-day rule, but it’s more likely he returns to the team on December 13 against the Orlando Magic given that he will need some time to get himself back to game shape.
Having said that, it has to be Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook to seriously step up for the purple and gold army in LeBron’s yet another absence.
