LeBron James, being in his 19th season in the NBA is bound to break many more records with his years in the league. On the latest, not only did the King register his 100th triple-double during the Lakers vs Grizzlies but also overtook Karl Malone in an epic all-time NBA record. To add to it, the 36-years-old managed to register two records, yet hi Los Angeles Lakers ended up losing against the Memphis Grizzlies 95-108. 

There is no denying that LeBron James is a real handful on the defensive end for his team and has made his presence felt season after season, protecting the rim or charging upon the ball to get the steals and channelise the attack for his own team. On the same note, LeBron surpassed Malone to reach 11th place on the all-time regular-season steals leaderboard. The Akron native accomplished this feat in a steal-happy game, as Memphis Grizzlies tied a franchise record for steals in a quarter as they took a lead into halftime against LA Lakers.

LeBron James surpasses Karl Malone in NBA All-Time Steals Record 

LeBron James has averaged at least 1.1 steals per game in every season of his 19-year career, peaking at 2.2 steals per game in the 2004-05 season. He has ranked in the top 20 in total steals in 12 seasons.

Having said that, talking about the Lakers vs Grizzlies showdown, the home team managed to brutally break past the purple and gold army who was packed with stars, yet ended up losing by 13 points. Yet the Lakers will have a chance to redeem themselves against the Oklahoma City Thunder after the latter team has made two sensational comebacks without LeBron on the other end previously.
