LaMelo Ball’s heart-warming reaction after making first All-Star Game appearance

LaVar Ball and LaMelo Ball
When the initial Eastern Conference starter pack was announced, hoop fans were disappointed to witness none of the young players making it amongst the big boys. But with injuries once again haunting Kevin Durant during the All-Star Game, it seems like Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball has been named as his ideal replacement. After which his true reaction was caught on camera via Bleacher Report.

To those who are not aware, LaMelo Ball has been one of the pivotal reasons why the Hornets are still among the playoff contenders in the 2021-22 season. Although currently having lost five straight games (after defeat against Toronto Raptors), the Hornets are just clinging onto the play-in tournament berth but that surely doesn’t rule out the goods done by LaMelo.

Hornets’ LaMelo Ball makes honest admission upon being an All-Star
The 20-year-old could not hold back a huge grin as the Charlotte Hornets star got the phone call telling him he’d be joining the Eastern Conference All-Stars in Cleveland. And although LaVar had a mask on, you can tell from his face that he was grinning ear-to-ear as well. At last, one of his predictions about his sons has come to fruition, with LaMelo becoming the first of the Ball brothers to make an All-Star team.

That’s definitely a moment neither LaMelo nor his father will forget anytime soon, as all the hard work they’ve put in over the years has paid off. This feat makes him the youngest player in the 2022 All-Star Game, surely something that dad LaVar Ball would be enjoying and bragging about in near future. Jokes apart, Melo is averaging 19.6 points per game, 7.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists in the 2021-22 season.

The 2022 All-Star Game will be held in Cleveland, just like Kevin Durant, there has also been a change in the Western Conference starter as Draymond Green too will be unavailable sue to an injury. He is replaced by San Antonio Spurs’ Dejounte Murray.
