Chris Paul is having a wonderful season with the Phoenix Suns. To top it all that Chris Paul has been selected in the list of the 75 best players of all time to celebrate the League’s 75th Anniversary. With the Suns cruising in the NBA and with CP3’s leadership looks like the Suns are likely to have another shot at the championship this season.
Chris Paul is on fire for the Phoenix Suns
Chris Paul Playing in his 17th season in the NBA and is having the best of seasons with the Suns. He is averaging 14.1 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 10.1 APG. The Phoenix Suns are having the best of seasons recording the best 36-9 run which is the current best for the league.
Last year in October the NBA released the list for the best 75 players of all time for the celebration of its 75th Anniversary, in which CP3 was included along with other top players who have had an impact in the league since its inauguration on 1st November 1946. The NBA has put short clips of the players who are on the list in order to celebrate these players for this occasion. In the clip for Chris Paul, he received a lot of praises from top players such as Channing Frye, Stephen Curry, Dwayne Wade, and from his former teammates, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
Chris Paul has made himself in the record books, he is 3rd in the All-Time Assists and 5th in Steals in the NBA, popular also for his clutch plays and the leadership that he carries which makes his teammates better. Dwayne Wade had some praise who said “To be able to watch him at his craft, he orchestrates the game. When he has the ball, it’s like he sees the game. He’s playing the game before you even play it. Just to watch someone have that level of greatness, and you can see it in his eyes, and obviously, I’ve got a chance to get into his mind, it’s just incredible.”
Channing Frye calls Chris Paul “A pit bull on a tire”
Channing Frye was selected as the 8th overall pick in the first round of the NBA draft in 2005 by the New York Knicks. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns and eventually won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 season. His best seasons, however, came with the Phoenix Suns.
He showered high Praise for the Suns Point Guard, spoke about his on-court leadership, and characterized him as a Pitbull for an appetite to win games night in night out. Channing Frye went on to say, “Chris Paul is like a pit bull on a tire when it comes to winning. He is going to hang on to that thing until the branch breaks. You know the pit bull is on a tire and that thing just holds and locks it.” Channing Frye said, “He will do anything and compete versus anyone to win a game every night”.
Chris Paul joined the Phoenix Suns in the 2020-21 season where he eventually led the team to their first NBA finals, since 1993, where the Suns, unfortunately, were defeated by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks. This season is no different as he is working together with his team to reach yet another NBA finals and hopefully win a title with the Phoenix Suns.
