The Los Angeles Clippers tend to have a problem with the playoffs. Every time they get a good chance to prove their worth in the playoffs, they sabotage their chances. Once again, the 2021 playoffs seem to upset Los Angeles Clippers. This time it is the Luka Doncic led Dallas Mavericks limiting their finals chances. Starting at the top of the league, Los Angeles Clippers always displayed intensive and dominating play in the regular season. However, the playoffs turn the table for the franchise. After losing game 1, the LA Clippers feel short-handed while Luke Doncic continued his supremacy. Luka Doncic has been in an incredible form and especially when matched up against Marcus Morris Sr. Luka Doncic almost ended his career after a fierce dunk over Marcus Morris.
The 2nd game was a show stealer from Luka Doncic as well. He ended his night with a 39-point game. Luka had earlier scored a 31-point triple double against the Los Angeles Clippers in game 1. Despite Kawhi Leonard’s mammoth 41-points, Los Angeles Clippers could not hold on to their small lead. More than anything the highlight play from Luka Doncic setteled scores between him and Marcus Morris from last season.
Luka Doncic wins the battle
Marcus Morris and Luka Doncic were involved in a huge rivalry. During their match last season, Marcus Morris hit Luka Doncic very hard on the head and got ejected. They shared some beef before that as well. Now that they are up against the Los Angeles Clippers, he was reminded of that scuffle before driving hard to the ring. When Marcus Morris met him on top, Luka postered on the veteran. Doncic’s big time poster might have setteled the scores with Morris as well.

Morris and Luka had their battle from last year’s post season when Morris stepped on Doncic’s sprained ankle. While the rivalry may not exist anymore, somewhere Doncic has subtly taken his revenge. And if Dallas Mavericks win this series, Doncic would have gotten back at him perfectly. It is tough phase for Los Angeles Clippers. They themselves have been sabotaging their playoff games a lot now. A poor display from the Clippers and repeated turnovers have forced them a 2-0 trail by Dallas Mavericks. Los Angeles Clippers really need to gear up if they don’t want to face another blowout.
