The22-YO has become one of the best player for the team and one of the fine youngster in the league. His journey playing in Europe and then coming to the NBA is inspiring for many. Luka Doncic entered the draft 2018 and went 3rd overall to the Atlanta Hawks. However, the Hawks traded him for Trae Young. Amidst the issue around his trade rumors there are some who have put criticism ahead of golden boy Luka Doncic. As Dallas Mavericks were wiped out of playoffs by the LA Clippers, serious allegation hurled has now been backed by Luka’s father.
The golden Boy Luka Doncic has proved again and again why he is the best at what he does. Irrespective of his Dallas appearance, he has also one a lot for his country. During the Tokyo Olympics qualifiers, Doncic’s great performance helped the team book their spot. This NBA season, Luka had the 6th best scoring average for the team. Being so young and putting competitive numbers along legends is a huge achievement in itself.
Sasa Doncic defends son against negative leadership remarks
At just 22, Luka Doncic is leading the entire Dallas chapter. But the young kid has had his fair share of negativity flowing in front. But his father Sasa Doncic gave a hilarious reaction hen being confronted about Luka. Sasa Doncic said, “I don’t know. Maybe this journalist is probably the biggest basketball genius. So please don’t ask me about it. I’m telling you, what he is doing in the NBA is more than great. I’m talking as a basketball fan.”
“As a father, I’m very proud of him. He’s not afraid of anybody. He has this heart and guts to compare with everybody. What he’s doing at 22 years old in the NBA, as a European player, I think, nobody does this,” he added. In addition, Luka is expected to be the leader of the Mavericks with only three years under his belt. Surprisingly, he did an amazing job doing so.
Luka Doncic as a lead has been productive. It was evident from the last stretch for the Mavs when they got over better teams to finish in top 6. Despite him having to carry the load of the team, he has outperformed his expectations and produced miracles regularly. A lot of analysts antagonise him, but Luka Doncic has a great future in the NBA.
