Shooting breaks in Milwaukee, after Bucks vs Boston

An enthralling matchup between The Boston Celtics and The Milwaukee Bucks turned into absolute horror when gunshots were heard outside the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. 20 people were injured in two shootings incidents, downtown Milwaukee near an entertainment district where thousands had been watching the Bucks play the Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference semifinals, authorities said. Police said 10 people have been arrested in connection with the shooting and that nine guns were recovered from the scene.

Tatum scored 46 points and the Celtics withstood a brilliant performance from Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo to win 108-95 on Friday night, the third straight victory for a road team in this thrilling series. The first shooting, occurred adjacent to the Deer District — an entertainment district filled with bars and restaurants where large crowds often assemble to watch major sporting events. 3 people were injured outside of the Fiserv Forum during the final minutes of the Bucks-Celtics playoff game Milwaukee police said a 30-year-old male and a 16-year-old female were found with gunshot wounds at the scene. The man was shot in the foot and girl was shot in the leg. A third person, a 26-year-old woman, drove herself to the hospital, according to police.

A few hours later, a second shooting incident took place less than a mile from Fiserv Forum left 17 people with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Ten people were taken into custody and nine firearms were recovered from that shooting. Coverage outside the Fiserv Forum by a WISN news reporter showed people running down the street outside the arena at about 9:30 p.m. central time, which is about the time the Bucks-Celtics game ended. Police said they had one person in custody and had recovered a gun.

Boston Celtics demonstrate great focus by bouncing back, after having blown a 14-point fourth-quarter lead in a Game 5 home loss. The Bucks tried to rally again after trailing by 14 in the final period, but this time the Celtics kept their noses in front. Jaylen Brown added 22 points for the Celtics, who capitalized on their superiority from 3-point range. The Celtics were 17 of 43 and the Bucks 7 of 27 from beyond the arc. Antetokounmpo tried to lead the Bucks to a second straight improbable comeback, but fought in vain. It was a traumatic incident for the Milwaukee crowd as further investigation tries to shed light on this appalling incident.
