A $15 MILLION mansion that Michael Jordan is selling in Chicago was broken into by an 18-year old
An 18-year old from Chicago broke into the $15 million mansion in that Michael Jordan has been trying to sell for over a decade

Michael Jordan made a lot of money in his NBA career, so much so that a mansion he has not used since 2012 was broken into. An 18-year-old was arrested for breaking into the mansion on April 4th, while Jordan has been trying to sell the property for over a decade. The teenager was discovered inside the building after neighbors called the police in the afternoon of Tuesday, April 4. The 60-year-old Jordan was not present at the time.
Local media have identified the adolescent as Raiden Hagerdorn, and he has been charged with illegal trespass and two counts of criminal property damage. Jordan’s mansion was purchased during his time with the Chicago Bulls, where he won 6 NBA titles and 6 Finals MVPs. The NBA legend, however, has been trying to get rid of the house and originally placed it at $29 million.
His mansion in Chicago was recently used for a video shoot for the Travis Scott song “Franchise.” The gates to the property are also personalized with the No. 23, synonymous with Jordan and his all-conquering NBA career with the Chicago Bulls. The property has nine bedrooms, 19 baths, an indoor basketball gymnasium, a pool, a cigar room, and a tennis court.
The Chicago mansion is not the only thing Michael Jordan is trying to sell
The NBA legend has yet to be as successful as a general manager but will turn a profit if he sells the Charlotte Hornets. MJ became the majority owner of the Hornets owner in 2010 for around $180 million and is looking to sell it for about 1.7 billion dollars in 2023. Jordan has not seen the Hornets win a playoff series his entire time as a GM, with three first-round losses.
The Charlotte Hornets have had yet another dismal season with their star Lamelo Ball being injured and the rest of their roster needing to be better to put up a fight. The Hornets are 26-54 in the Eastern Conference as the 14th seed. They have a chance to land Victory Wembanyama in next year’s draft, which is probably the only silver lining to their season.
Michael Jordan has always been an intelligent businessman, and he feels that he has profited enough from the Hornets and has picked the right time to sell. Jordan has had enough of the organization looking for a new direction, and fans are disgruntled at his work as a GM. MJ was famously known for never quitting throughout his Bulls career as a player, but being a GM is an entirely different game.
