Andrew Wiggins after years of struggles and hard work where he was called a bust and even useless is finally shining bright and getting the correct recognition he deserves. As this year the Golden State Warriors won their fourth title in the last eight seasons (the franchise in total has seven titles) and now he is an NBA champion. The Warriors now have a new star who stepped up at the perfect time possible and got the job done. This season was a good one for Andrew Wiggins as he made it to the All-Star Game as a starter, got a ring and is now a star player the whole franchise can trust on with their brought-back dynasty days.

He played an important role in the successful championship run of the Golden State Warriors this season. As he backed up Stephen Curry on the offensive end and even ran it whenever needed but also took care of the defensive one by holding down the rival stars on the scoring end. He stepped up his game a level up this year in all aspects and it finally paid off. He was doubted and had thousands of people hating on him after he didn’t live up to the expectations fans had from him as the first pick overall. But now it’s a changed story and maybe the Timberwolves are regretting giving him away for absolutely nothing.

As soon as Andre Wiggins got his first NBA Title his old mates from his days back at Minnesota Timberwolves wished him luck while congratulating him. Those mates were Zach LaVine and Karl Anthony Towns. A what-if trio which could have changed the league and the franchise but the front office messed up and soon it was just KAT trying his best to be on the winning side.

Andrew Wiggins was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2014 as the first pick overall and Zach LaVine was part of the same draft class and the Wolves got him at 13th place. Next year they got lucky again and drafted Karl Anthony Towns to run the place. They had the best young guns around but didn’t stick with them as probably the front office went in for some trades which could improve their present without thinking of the future and still they are struggling.

Andrew Wiggins after winning the 2022 NBA Championship in an interview with Complex was questioned about the unreached potential of him, Zach LaVine and Karl Anthony Towns at Wolves as they were soon shipped across. Replying to it Andrew Wiggins quoted: “You can’t help but to think about it, those are my guys and we were all young when we came into the league. I feel like that team that we had was really talented, we just needed some time. But everything happens for a reason. Zach went to Chicago, he’s having a hell of a career, multiple All-star Games. KAT is doing his thing in Minnesota, and I’m over here, first All-Star appearance, and winning a championship. I wouldn’t change nothing, I love the story and I love the journey but I am really happy with where I am at.”

Andrew Wiggins said nothing wrong while talking about the split-up. As of now all of them are quite successful in running their teams and are doing well around. But you never know and you’ll never know how great that trio would have been until they think about regrouping and getting it done. He also added how he wouldn’t change a thing from the story as he is happily continuing the journey. But honestly, the Minnesota Timberwolves front office messed up big and even their leader Karl Anthony Towns believes that. Because some more time and the three stars would have entered their prime and destroyed the league but nothing can be changed now.
