Recently, in a touching interview with FaZe Jsmooth, Anthony Davis opened up about his cherished memory of the former LA Lakers superstar.

Davis shared a heartwarming memory of his daughter, Nala, and Bryant. He recalled the precious encounter when Nala was just 7-8 months old. Davis revealed that they met Kobe at the gym, and to their surprise, Nala, who was usually reserved with strangers, instantly connected with the basketball legend.

“I just had my daughter…Going to the gym, I was working out, and he was there. … he grabbed her…She never really wants anybody, but she just had so much joy, and she was so happy smiling, laughing with him. He was able to make her smile, make her laugh,” Davis fondly reminisced during the interview.

Anthony Davis has openly expressed how Bryant’s inspiration has elevated his basketball game since their time together during the 2012 Olympics. Davis even dedicated the Lakers’ 2020 championship win to Kobe. This love also transcended to Davis’ daughter, Nala, who affectionately referred to Kobe as “my daddy’s friend” and lovingly called him “my uncle Kobe” when seeing pictures of the basketball legend.
