“When do we hear Rob Pelinka say it” Anthony Davis gets MOBBED by Laker Nation after subtly blaming Russell Westbrook for 1st half blunder vs Kings

“When do we hear Rob Pelinka say it” Anthony Davis gets MOBBED by Laker Nation after subtly blaming Russell Westbrook for 1st half blunder vs Kings

Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook

Anthony Davis and Los Angeles Lakers are one of the worst offensive teams this season. They are 29th in points scored per game and 24th in assists per game which says a lot about the Lakers’ offense right now. The situation seems more glaring when you have two of the best passers the game has ever seen in LeBron James and Russell Westbrook, yet the assists rate is one of the lowest in the league as players are not converting the passes.

Right now the Lakers have everything wrong with their roster. Not only the bench is unable to give the Lakers much needed but the starting players are also not performing at a high level. LeBron James, the oldest player on the team is leading the scorer’s table with 24.9 points per game. Anthony Davis coming after a major injury is performing better on both boards but he is far from being himself.

The loss against Sacramento Kings was their 5th conservation loss of the season. LeBron is out with an injury and so the trouble has deepened even more. Apart from Davis, LeBron and Westbrook only Lonnie Walker has performed for the Lakers this season. At this point, the Lakers are sitting in the 14th position in the Western Conference with 2 wins and 10 losses.

The Lakers right now are historically bad and Davis and LeBron can’t figure it out this time

The Lakers have matched the worst season start in the franchise’s history. One of the gifts that LeBron has shown throughout his illustrious career is his skill to figure it out. But this time it won’t be enough for him and the Lakers. This is the worst any of LeBron’s team has performed in his career and worst of all LeBron is not young anymore. This December he would be officially 38 years old. He no longer has the body to carry his team on his shoulders.

But there is a bigger issue at the core of the Lakers’ looming breakdown. None of the players have performed and shown any potential for a breakout season in absence of other star players on the floor. Anthony Davis can’t carry the offense on this own since he is already suffering from a back issue. Davis has also not yet shown that he can successfully lead a team with championship hopes.

Westbrook and Davis

While talking to the media in the post-game interview Davis said, “The thing is, there’s a lot of, like, ‘My bads.’ Which is good. But we can’t have a lot of, ‘My bads.’ … A couple ‘My bads’ down at the end of the first half and they go on a 14-5 run.” Fans believe Davis was trying to point finger at Russell Westbrook for the 1st half blunder. Fans took to Twitter to react to Davis’ statement. One of them wrote, “When do we hear Rob Pelinka say it”, while the other wrote, “Bro cooked russ omg”. Here are some fan reactions:

Russell Westbrook had 5 turnovers in the game and was -13 in his plus/minus in the game against the Kings. The Lakers lost the game 114-120, their 5th straight this season. Anthony Davis scored 24 points and 14 rebounds and Westbrook scored 21 points in the loss.
