Anthony Davis’ Injury: The Brow gets ruled out indefinitely after serious foot injury
Anthony Davis
The Los Angeles Lakers have added Anthony Davis to their injured list after he sustained a stress injury to his right foot as a result of a dropped ball while the Lakers were playing the Denver Nuggets. There was no official diagnosis for Davis’s specific ailment, although reports stated that he was anticipated to miss about a month.
The Lakers have now revealed, a week later, that Davis has a stress injury to his right foot and will be sidelined indefinitely. Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the discomfort on this injury has decreased. Moreover, Davis will rest for the next 7 to 10 days before being reassessed and determining whether or not a procedure is required.
Following the Los Angeles Lakers‘ game against the Denver Nuggets, Davis underwent a full MRI scan and underwent ongoing assessments with a specialist. The results showed that Davis needed time to heal.
The injury-prone Davis missed 42 of the 82 regular-season games last season and 36 of the Lakers’ 72 regular-season games in 2020–21.
The Lakers are already 2.5 games away from the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference with a record of 13-18. They were primarily that close because of Davis. The 29-year-old was leading a bad Lakers team back to.500 after a 2-10 start by averaging 27.4 points and 12.1 rebounds per game while playing outstanding defense.
Will the Lakers make it to the playoffs without Anthony Davis
This season, Davis was averaging at 27.4 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. Before getting hurt, he scored more than 40 points per game over his previous five contests and had played a key role in the Lakers’ turnaround to a 13-18 record after a disastrous 2-10 start to the year.
The Lakers will need to figure out how to succeed without him because they had trouble doing so the previous year. Since defeating the Nuggets, Los Angeles has dropped two of its last three games without Davis, who missed 16 of the team’s 27 games due to MCL and right ankle ailments.
With LeBron James out for a while, the Lakers were too dependent on Davis. In the second half and overtime of a loss to the Celtics, Davis played more than 46 minutes without taking a break in his final game before getting hurt.
Purple and gold team put Davis under a near-impossible load this season, whether or not that contributed to his injury is unknown.
