Brooklyn Nets star player Ben Simmons recently spoke out about his current relationship with his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers. Ben featured in a recent episode of JJ Redick’s ‘The Old Man & The Three’ podcast. The Nets player focused on how badly the Phila fans and the media have treated him and seemed sad about it.

Ben Simmons said, “Well people in Philly just want to have something to say about f–king anything, man,” Simmons said. “Everything. Literally everything. I post a picture of a f–king car or a dog, I got reporters saying you should be in the f–king gym.” The Nets player made it absolutely clear that he has no grudge against his former team and has always looked back on his happy memories with them.

Ben always posted about his luxurious life on social media; hence, fans and the press always ousted him whenever he performed poorly for the team. The Phila fans are one of the crazy bunch of fans. They always want their team to achieve the best, and whenever Ben posted, they made a point that his attention had been taken away by the glitz and glamour outside the game.

Ben Simmons slips in the latest NBA rankings

In the latest edition of ESPN’s NBA Rank, Ben Simmons was ranked No. 76 in the overall list of top 100 players in the NBA. Ben was ranked No. 28 in 2021 and slipped much lower after he missed the entirety of the 2021-22 NBA season. Simmons is finally set to return from injury, and he will have a chance to get back among the top 30 players once the new NBA 2022-2023 season begins. The other two Brooklyn Nets players who made it to the list were Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry. Kyrie also slipped from No. 20 in 2021 to 33^rd on the list. Seth went down from 88th in 2021 to No. 96 on the list. The Brooklyn Nets will face New Orleans Pelicans in their opening match on 20^th Oct.
