“BEST SIDEKICK Kevin Durant has ever played with” – Gilbert Arenas discards Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving as 2x NBA champion’s top match
Gilbert Arenas claims the duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to be better than the rest of the duos KD has had.
Gilbert Arenas and Devin Booker
Devin Booker has been impressing a lot many people from the league this post-season via his greats. And, the recent addition to that list is Gilbert Arenas. It’s not easy to impress Agent Zero, as he always finds a point or two to criticize the young players and superstars of the modern NBA. But this time Gilbert Arenas has made an exception as he has nothing but only appreciation, love, support, and praise for Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker.
Gilbert Arenas also believes Devin Booker is the best sidekick Kevin Durant has ever had. That straight means he’s riding with the duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. And, feels that the pair is better than what Kevin Durant had with Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, and even Russell Westbrook, as sitting alongside Josiah Johnson and Brandon Jennings on his podcast, “Gil’s Arena” he went on to give D-Book his flowers.
While doing so Gilbert Arenas quoted: “Forget the championship rings and the final product. This player is the best sidekick Kevin Durant has ever played with. What I am saying is when you are talking about… Just their game themselves. So when you are talking about Kyrie with him, Steph with him and you are talking about Russ with him is this been the best player.”
Further, Gilbert Arenas explained how offensively great Devin Booker has been with Kevin Durant since they have been together. He also mentioned he isn’t saying him to be better than any particular player but is just pointing out how great he’s been performing and how the duo has been better than the rest so far. Later, Gilbert Arenas and Josiah Johnson, and Brandon Jennings even played some NBA Jam. As they compared the sidekicks Kevin Durant has had over the time with each other, but from different timelines.
When Brandon Jennings and Josiah Johnson disagreed with his take and chose Stephen Curry over Devin Booker. He smartly defended his take with stats and took out the championships from the conversation and just compared how Devin Booker is balling out while being a sidekick to Kevin Durant. And, he isn’t wrong saying that as D-Book is balling out since the Suns landed Kevin Durant. So far this postseason he has averaged 35.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 7.1 assists while making some history.
Gilbert Arenas claims Kevin Durant is playing with 5-year veteran Devin Booker
Devin Booker is just 26 years old and is in his prime years and soon will be a certified veteran after years of experience. But Gilbert Arenas believe he’s already been a veteran for the past five years.
He quoted: “He was separated a long time ago when he has 72 he was separated. That was a great defensive Boston team he put that on. Because he was in Phoenix, no one actually respected what he was doing… You are talking about the guy who plays like he’s a real veteran from the age of 21. I mean he’s played with veteran poised this whole time.”
Again, Gibby isn’t wrong as with Kevin Durant coming to Phoenix, Devin Booker is finally under the light and getting all the recognition he deserves. And, his greats in the past year also suggest him to be a vet. As he already has led his team to the NBA Finals and now with KD coming in they’ll want to do that again.
