“Do the Lakers, Jeanie Buss have the courage to move off AD?” Colin Cowherd believes Anthony Davis – Kyrie Irving trade could be fruitful for both teams

Once again, Kyrie Irving attracted attention when it was revealed that his talks with the Brooklyn Nets had come to an end. According to reports, the LA Lakers are interested in trading with the Brooklyn Nets for one of the most gifted players in NBA history-Anthony Davis. However, Colin Cowherd thinks Brooklyn would prefer AD if a deal were to happen. Russell Westbrook has frequently been discussed in connection with potential deals.

Without a question, AD is one of the NBA’s most talented big men in the NBA as he is a superb scorer and a versatile player. In his career, Davis has shown the ability to score 28 points and 11 rebounds each game, but during the past two seasons, he has only averaged 22.5 points and 8.9 rebounds. Over the past two years, he has played in a total of 76 games. Since winning the championship in 2020, he has also been out of shape going into the season.

Injury-prone Anthony Davis a concern for the Lakers?

Anthony Davis, on the other hand, was better compared to Kyrie last season as he averaged 23.2 points on 53.2% shooting and also recorded 9.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. However, both players missed far too many games, which prevented their teams from being successful. While Irving resisted getting vaccinated, Davis missed games due to injuries. His lengthy history of injuries, which has caused him to miss more than 100 games, is mostly to blame. However, some people continue to think he is a terrific player when healthy.

Darvin Ham, the Lakers’ new head coach, believes that AD is crucial to the team’s future success. Colin Cowherd about a possible Irving- AD trade

The experienced sports analyst discussed Irving’s possible importance to the Lakers in his podcast. What he said was as follows: “Does Rob Pelinka, does the organization, Jeanie Buss have the courage, forget Westbrook, to move off Anthony Davis?, as he suggests a potential Kyrie Irving-Anthony Davis swap instead of Westbrook which can benefit both the organizations.

Irving and Davis are nearly irreplaceable for the Brooklyn Nets and LA Lakers, regardless of whether they stay with their respective teams . The LA Lakers didn’t even advance to the play-in round this year after losing in the first round of the playoffs the previous year. The 2021–22 season was brutal to both the Brooklyn Nets and the LA Lakers, despite their contrasting challenges.

Both teams will need to make significant alterations after falling short of expectations. To increase success, both teams will remove some rather challenging elements. This is due to Anthony Davis’ history for injuries and Russell Westbrook’s incompatibility for the LA Lakers. It’s Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons’ erratic play for the Brooklyn Nets.
