Dennis Rodman is a real one for Scottie Pippen. Not many would have thought that the two fierce enemies on the court would go on to become brothers once they join forces. But that’s what playing basketball and winning championships together does. Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen had a lot of bad blood between them during the rivalry years of the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls.

They really have gone on to become brothers from hurting each other on the court, trash-talking, and disrespecting each other. All of it changed when Dennis Rodman was brought into the Chicago Bulls system by Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan. Scottie Pippen always doubted this move and didn’t even want him in at first place. But soon they had a great bond between themselves and we all know how well the trio aged.

But lately, there has been a lot of bad blood between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. They have been beefing since the release of Michael Jordan’s docu-series, “The Last Dance.” As Scottie Pippen believes he hasn’t been portrayed rightly in the documentary and has been criticized wrongfully without the correct revelation of the situation. And, he isn’t all wrong with his reason as that’s exactly what the series says while portraying the greats of Black Jesus.

But Dennis Rodman knows exactly how great Scottie Pippen is and how important he was behind the six championship runs the Chicago Bulls had. Scottie Pippen was extremely underpaid and the whole basketball world knows it. He also had a dramatic start for the 1997-98 season but that’s understandable as the organization had him placed in the trading shelf and wasn’t valuing him correctly as he was booked with them under a contract. Many around that situation understand what Scottie Pippen was going through and why he delayed his surgery to repair the ruptured tendon in his ankle.

But Michael Jordan wasn’t riding with the same club. And, he wasn’t happy with Scottie Pippen’s decision, obviously the reason behind it was his killer mentality and the will to win. But not riding with the guy who’s responsible for your success isn’t right. And, MJ throwing Scottie Pippen under the bus during Episode 2 of The Last Dance went on to quote: “I thought Scottie was being selfish.” This started the bad blood between the two former best friends. But thankfully, Dennis Rodman understands Scottie Pippen’s situation and backed him up years ago when the series was released.

Dennis Rodman is someone who most can’t understand. But his ability to understand others is real, as he is a wise one for it. He defended his brother Scottie Pippen when MJ pulled the trigger. As giving him his well-deserved flowers and a bit of guidance, Dennis Rodman defended him in an interview.

While doing so the former Piston quoted: “I wish he didn’t give a s— like me about what people say… But no one could ever quite see him. He was too quiet, and he was always standing next to Michael Jordan. Scottie was so underrated – and so underpaid. He should be holding his head up higher than Michael Jordan in this documentary.”

Further, Dennis Rodman added: “I think a lot of people are now realizing what he went through. The kid was a hero, in a lot of ways, during those great Bulls runs.” And, after claiming Pippen to be the game changer as he revolutionized the point-forward position. Dennis Rodman added: “If LeBron was playing during the ‘90s, I’d still say Scottie Pippen was the second-best player behind Michael.”

Dennis Rodman knows Scottie Pippen isn’t at fault and the basketball world now wants his rivalry with Michael Jordan to end. As that’s just some unnecessary bad blood running decades-old friendship and many championship runs.
