Most ballers from the NBA’s 90s era believe that they can shut down any star from their future generations. Dennis Rodman is no different either. The former Bulls player believes his team could shut down LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
The ego of basketball players has been one of the main reasons for several drama and controversies in the NBA. Fans and players of a certain generation always believe that their era of ballers is infinitely better than the players of the future or past. Dennis Rodman believes the same too. Afterall Rodman is not one who shies away from creating controversies.
Though Rodman has the resume to back his talk, sometimes things get overboard with the former Chicago Bulls players. For instance, in an interview with OVERTIME, Dennis claimed that his Bulls teammate could “shut down” superstars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant of this generation. There is always a fine line between disrespect and being confident in your own abilities. Dennis seems to be walking on a tight rope when it comes to this matter.

Dennis is never media shy and always is generous by appearing on different Basketball shows. This time, popular YouTube channel, Overtime had the privilege of having the great player for a fun “lie detector” interview. One of the questions in the interview was, “Can you lock up LeBron?” Dennis didn’t need any time to answer this question. “You know who could lock up LeBron? Me, Mike [Jordan], and Scottie [Pippen] could,” said Rodman in the lie detector test.
“F**k yeah, I would have locked his a** up. LeBron is easy to play. He’s so f**king easy to play, he don’t have any moves…where he going? That’ll be sh*t, you can stop that,” added Dennis disrespecting James’ ability on the court. “Scottie Pippen would have shut his f**king a** down quick before I get to him,” continued D-Rod saying his teammate Pippen would be enough to shut down one of the greatest to ever do it.
The disrespect didn’t end there, Rodman also clowned one of the most skilled and gifted ballers of all time Kevin Durant by saying, “KD, same thing. Once you get to know people’s game, it’s very easy to play them. They just long and tall,” said Rodman.
