“Don’t want anybody that’s second-guessing to be a Laker” Did Darvin Ham send a straight-out warning to Russell Westbrook?
Russell Westbrook might be getting on the nerves of many members of the Los Angeles Lakers and the fans. The team has been going through a tough time figuring out methods to get back to title contention status. One of the biggest moves they made during the off-season was hiring new coaching staff including Darvin Ham and Rasheed Wallace.
The Brooklyn Nets have been communicating with the purple and gold to orchestrate a trade to send Kyrie Irving away. The Lakers unfortunately do not have the requires draft picks or assets to comply to the package’s demands. So as far it goes, Mr. Triple-Double will be returning for another season for the foreseeable future.

Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham taunts “second guess-ers” to leave the team
During the height of all the drama, Ham was humble enough to take his time and share his thoughts on what LA plans on doing. He appeared on the All The Smoke podcast and said, “Competing at a high level. We’re going to be together. The most together team always does well, always wins at the end of the day. And accountability. We’re going to be tough. We’re going to be defensive-minded.”
“That’s the side of the ball where you’re going to see the quickest and most drastic improvement and we’re going to share offensively. Again, we want everybody all in on what we’re doing. We don’t want anybody that’s second-guessing being a Laker or ‘Am I in the right place?’ or this, that and the third,” he said. This could have been a warning sent to his roster amid the ongoing dilemma surrounding Russell Westbrook.
Lakers Big 3 agree to run it back for the title
The Lakers current roster is arguably one of the most experienced sets in the NBA at the moment. With Anthony Davis returning back to the court and LeBron James playing at an MVP level, they have a lot to maintain until the end of the regular season. AD will have to remain on a healthy status in order for the team to win their 19th trophy.
The trio allegedly had a phone call a few weeks ago and discussed on their plan ahead of the 2022-23 Season. Sources within the NBA claimed that they all mutually agreed to work things out. Russell Westbrook will most likely exercise his one-year $47 million contract extention unless they find a viable trade package.
