Bronny James’ health scare shocked the entire basketball community worldwide. The 18-year-old suffered an unprecedented heart attack on Monday at the USC Basketball Facility in Los Angeles.
Bronny James has made significant progress in recovering from his illness since the incident and is reportedly discharged from the hospital. The James family credited the fast responses of the staff at USC for rushing Bronny to the ICU as soon as the young star collapsed on the court.
According to people at the time of the incident, the situation was handled from going out of hand all thanks to a quick 911 call made with absolute urgency. The call between the dispatcher and the caller was somehow obtained by a news outlet and it revealed the true intensity of the incident. TMZ Sports got their hands on the recordings of the call, which took place at USC’s Galen Center at 9:26 AM made by someone whose identity still remains undisclosed. The caller was remarkably calm and relayed a direct point to the dispatcher, “Get an ambulance here now!”
The 911 operator also asked the caller if any medical professionals were around Bronny to perform CPR to which he swiftly responded, “No.” The operator told the caller to get close to Bronny while also reassuring them saying, ”Help is on the way.” The swift actions from both sides were vital as doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Bronny was hospitalized credited the staff at USC who alerted the doctors beforehand. According to LeBron Bronny has been discharged from the hospital and is looking to slowly make a full recovery.

Bronny James’ cardiac arrest came as a shock for most people as the athlete had no prior medical complications. The incident led to many turning to the covid vaccine to be the cause. The owner of the X corporation, Elon Musk was the first one to comment on the speculations which quickly sparked controversy online. The comments invoked a long-standing political debate between Pro-vaccine supporters and Anti-vaccine demographics turning the incident into a big issue online.
Bronny was reported to be suffering from Myocarditis, a rare inflammatory complaint that affects the heart. As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Bronny’s condition has been appearing in adolescents, specifically young adult males who were given the mRNA vaccine.
