Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers have once again clowned the New York Knicks. But this time it was the players and not the front office who got the job done. Donovan Mitchell’s addition to the team which came in with a very unexpected and shocking trade has really aged well. And, now the Cavaliers are one of the best teams in the league with great chances of pocketing the title.
But the New York Knicks are probably regretting some of their off-season decisions. As Donovan Mitchell recently destroyed them and handed them their third loss of the season (121-108 final box score). In the game, Spida was nothing but a straight-up bully for his rivals. As he dropped 38 points, 12 assists and 3 rebounds.
Donovan Mitchell was also backed by Kevin Love who contributed with 29 points, 1 assist and 8 rebounds. Even Dean Wade got the job done as he got himself 22 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds. The trio of Donovan, Kevin and Dean also got a historic record never been made in the league registered under their name.
Donovan Mitchell and Kevin Love each made 8 out of the 13 three-pointers they attempted. While Dean Wade also drilled six out of the eight he attempted from downtown. So the trio combined for 22 three-pointers. And, as reported by ESPN Stats & Info no trio in the history of the league has been able to do so. The Cavs have really got themselves some crazy shooters who now are making shots directly for the history book.
Donovan Mitchell has been unreal with the Cleveland Cavaliers and is purely dominating the league. He’s also become a good leader and looks improved after the off-season grind. As he is averaging 32.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. And, the Cavs fans are finally happy watching their young team have a solid chance of winning it all this year.
