Draymond Green brought up former NFL player Larry Fitzgerald’s hand size in comparison to Aaron Gordon’s massive hands.
Draymond Green on The Volume podcast said that Aaron Gordon might rival the legendary wide receiver in the size of their hands, and he attributed Gordon’s success to his ability to palm the ball in mid-air and in awkward positions making the offense flow smoothly for Jokic and the Nuggets.
Draymond said: “If you’re comparing [Aaron Gordon’s] hands to a wide receiver, it’s like Larry Fitzgerald… If he catches the ball underneath the rim, he’s getting a layup or dunk.” He highly praised Gordon saying that he can easily catch even bad passes that might have been hard to catch for other players.
Aaron Gordon measures 6’8 and is estimated to have a hand size of around 9-10 inches, which would be impressive considering the average of the NBA being lower than 9 inches. Having big hands can be a big advantage in basketball as the game is all about ball control and several NBA greats like Julius Erving and Michael Jordan have attributed their hand sizes to their seamless ability to control the ball.
Gordon is recently fresh off of a playoff career-high of 27 points and he has shown the world that he has more skills in the inventory than just catching lobs and passes.
Denver Nuggets stuns Miami Heat with Aaron Gordon’s shotmaking
The Denver Nuggets took a commanding 3-1 series lead against the Miami Heat following a career-high night for the 9-year veteran, Aaron Gordon.
Gordon poured in 27 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds for the Nuggets in the Victory taking advantage of the Heat’s focus on Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. In Game 3, Murray and Jokic combined for 66 points and 21 rebounds together, but Game 4 was about everyone else, with the Heat defense dead set on stopping the Murray and Jokic two-man game they picked up both of them full court allowing guys like Aaron Gordon and Bruce Brown to have an offensive explosion of their own.
Along with Gordon’s impressive output the Nuggets Shooter, Bruce Brown was also red hot on the offensive end pouring in 21 points on 66% shooting from 3pt range. In addition to this, the Nuggets defense was completely the understory here holding the Heat to under 100 points in the 108-95 Game 4 victory.
The Denver Nuggets will look to close things out against the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals and Nikola Jokic is the favourite to win the Finals MVP award unless the Miami Heat can pull off a 3-1 deficit comeback against the Nuggets.
