Draymond Green and Steve Kerr

Draymond Green in Game 5 of NBA Finals became the first player since 2000 to foul out 3 times in a single Finals series. The former DPOY is already struggling with everything on the court and has been heavily trolled and doubted since the start of the Finals. He had comparatively better duels in Game 5 than the other ones but still, that’s not what he’s known for and many even know that he can be better as that ain’t the ceiling he has. Draymond Green in Game 5 helped his team a lot on both ends by hustling down the court and impacting the rival Celtics stars. But still, he got an early exit and even exchanged some heated words with Steve Kerr. He played an important role in the dub (GSW won 104-94) and the Dubs now stand one win away from lifting their fourth title in last eight seasons but the road is still tough.

The Golden State Warriors hosted the Boston Celtics at Chase Center for Game 5 of NBA Finals. It was a very important game as both the teams wanted that 3-2 lead and the Warriors were successful in claiming it. Draymond Green was out there with some serious business as he knew the team needs him and it was really necessary for him to step up and get going. As being their secondary point guard wasn’t enough because Stephen Curry was having a horrible night and the pressure was on.

But soon everything was taken care of as the rest of the team and especially the bench stepped up to fill in for the Chef who was out of fuel. Draymond Green like always backed up his teammates Andrew Wiggins (26 points, 2 assists, and 13 rebounds) and Klay Thompson (21 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds) by dropping 8 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds. Even Gary Payton II and Jordan Poole showcased their heroics by making a difference coming off the bench.

It was a fair night for Draymond Green but still, he made it to the headlines as he messed up with the head coach Steve Kerr after fouling out from the game. He not only wasted a challenge but doubted the head coach who has been backing him since day one. The former DPOY showcased his defensive greats on the court not to the core as he fouled out but surely he wasn’t out of focus and was doing the best he can.

Draymond Green with three minutes and one second remaining was fouled out of the game. But he wasn’t riding with the call as he believed he didn’t foul Marcus Smart but surely he did as the physical contact was very clear. After the call, the former DPOY got very angry with Steve Kerr for not challenging it and even yelled at him with some angry gestures. So Steve Kerr had no options but to challenge the call and that’s what he did as he knew it was necessary to back his boy up. But unfortunately, it was unsuccessful and Green was sent back to the bench and Steve Kerr probably knew it all the time.
