Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard has had a great NBA career that only a few have been able to experience. Howard saw himself become a part of 7 different franchises and ended up raking an NBA championship [with the Lakers 2019-20], 8x appearances as an All-Star, and 5 appearances on the NBA first team for 5 consecutive years from 2008 to 2012. One would’ve expected the former LA Lakers center to be named in the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team, however, this wasn’t the case.
Howard recently made his appearance as a guest on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. He opened up about the NBA excluding him from the NBA 75th anniversary team. He said, “I was very upset, I questioned if I even wanted to play basketball again. Like what am I doing this for? It was total disrespect.” Even the host, Shannon Sharpe expressed his dismay at Howard not being a part of the team and said, “Based on your resume you definitely should’ve been a part of the team”
Dwight Howard undoubtedly has a point, as his resumé suggests that he deserves to be named among the greats. Dwight’s statistics will speak for themselves and ideally, he’ll be included among the top 100 players in 24 years. Similarly, Dominique Wilkins failed to succeed the first time. Maybe someday Dwight’s game will be given the credit it deserves.
Dwight Howard’s potential return to the NBA

Dwight Howard currently finds himself without a team after his last season with the Lakers. He hasn’t been able to grab the attention of other franchises to sign him to their roster. Although it may look like his career is over, the former defensive player of the year still claims to have a lot left in his tank.
Howard, who is currently a free agent expressed his interest in potentially joining the Warriors who have decided to keep a spot open in their roster entering the new season. He was quite complimentary of the Dubs and even if the thought of him joining Golden State seems improbable, he did make a few convincing arguments for himself.
Dwight Howard has consistently excelled at guarding the rim and setting excellent screens for teammates in this league. As Howard stated, the Warriors frequently use their big guys outside the paint to set screens for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, so his fit in the squad would definitely not hurt anyone.
