“Every time he makes a pit stop, sh*t gets f*cked up” – DISASTER follows Kyrie Irving, claims Matt Barnes
Matt Barnes feels that Kyrie Irving is only trouble and despite his qualities he is not worth the trouble for any franchise he plays for

Kyrie Irving
The Dallas Mavericks lost their fifth game of their last six, and Matt Barnes feels Kyrie Irving is the problem. Matt Barnes said on the All The Smoke podcast – “Is it a coincidence that every time he goes to a team, there’s dysfunction? It just seems like everywhere Kyrie goes, there is an issue. Now that could be a coincidence, or it could be that Kyrie is the issue.” Barnes feels Kyrie creates and takes problems every time he changes teams.
Kyrie has had an unfortunate track record of leaving every team he has been on, on a sour note. Irving promised fans that he would stay while at the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics and ended up leaving both of them. “Again, as great a talent he is, a top-five talent no doubt, but it just seems like every time he makes a pit stop, s— gets f—– up. … It’s not hard to draw that kind of conclusion,” said Matt Barnes.
Barnes feels that despite Kyrie succeeding in his career, he has been a detriment to every franchise he is on. Kyrie has a record of 7-10 as a Dallas Maverick as they have slipped out of the play-in spots. The Mavericks are one game behind the 10th seed, and with their current form, a strong playoff run looks unlikely. With six games left in the season, Kyrie and Luka Doncic have a lot of work to do to make the playoffs.
Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic have a 4-9 record together for the underperforming Dallas Mavericks

Dallas lost 116-108 to the Philadelphia 76ers last night as Kyrie and Luka could not keep up with the dominant Sixers. Neither scored over 25 points in a game that Dallas needed to win and the Oklahoma City Thunder winning their game only added to their misery. The Mavericks also have a losing record against OKC which would require them to have a better record than them to make it through.
Kyrie Irving has averaged healthy numbers for the Mavericks, but they need help finding wins. Luka and Kyrie only seem to find form separately and have yet to be able to close games successfully as teammates. They have struggled to find a rhythm on the last few possessions of games, leading to losses during tight games like their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this season.
Luka Doncic has admitted he does not enjoy playing basketball now with the form Dallas is in. Doncic has had two 40-point games in his last seven, and the Mavericks ended up losing both of those games. Doncic and Irving have had enough time together to figure their games out, and if they end up missing the playoff, the front office will have a huge decision to make this offseason.
