Here and there Kyle Kuzma shows a glimpse of the player many thought he would be. Kuzma came up clutch in the Washington Wizards‘ win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. In the Wizards’ win over the Bulls, Kuzma hit a clutch 3-point shot on the official last Wizards possession in the game. The Wizards were playing without Kristaps Porziņģis and Bradley Beal, giving Kuzma most of the responsibility on offense.
As it happened, the game between the Wizards and the Bulls was tied at 97-97. However, as Kuzma held the ball at the top of the key, he was waiting for the screen to come. The screen came from Taj Gibson who screened Caruso. Kyle took three dribbles to his right from the top of the key and dropped a beautiful 3-point shot over his former teammate Caruso. Perhaps hitting the shot over a high-level defender like Caruso made the shot even more special.
The clutch shot from Kuz gave the Wizards a three-point lead with a 100-97 score on the board. Eventually, Washington won the game by the same number, registering their 18th win of the season. Playing without their two superstars Beal and Porziņģis, the win was hardly expected by the Wizards. Despite being short-handed, the Wizards help the Bulls to 97.

It was not the first time Kuzma has come clutch, and fans do know that the Wizards star has a bit bit of clutch in his game. It was a team game from the Wizards that was needed to get past the Bulls’ hurdle. Four of the players from Washington scored in double figures. Kuz scored team-high 21 points for the Wizards, while Monte Morris scored 17. Anthony Gill and Rui Hachimura scored 18 and 10 points respectively.
From the Bulls, Zach LaVine scored game-high 38 points in 41 minutes. However, it was not enough to be a constant punch by the Wizards. LaVine barely got any help from his co-star as only two other players touched the double-digit figure. Nikola Vucevic scored 15 points, followed by Coby White who scored 13 for the team.
