Patrick Beverley’s move to the LA Lakers this season has been the most interesting trade for NBA fans. The former Clippers star has joined his biggest rival in the sport, Russell Westbrook to play for the Los Angeles giants.

NBA fans believed they were signing up for drama when LA Lakers announced they were recruiting shooting guard Patrick Beverley to their roster. With Russell Westbrook already being part of the Lakers squad, things couldn’t have been spicier. If you know Beverley and Westbrook’s rivalry, you’d know there was no chance the two were going to be on good terms.

However, Beverley’s latest media day appearance bought a twist to the tale as he revealed a “wholesome” story about his relationship with the former Houston Rockets superstar. The world might have known Westbrook and Beverley for their “cut-throat” beef but the new Lakers-joined reveals a story never been told before.

Recently Beverley revealed a very emotional story when Westbrook bought his sister tickets for their game. “He came to me during a game and told me, ‘I got your sister courtside tickets,'” said Beverley in a recent show. “If I was to name a best friend [on the team] it’d easily be him,” Beverley added.
