Against the Washington Wizards, the Golden State Warriors were without their star players Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, Andre Iguodala, and James Wiseman. Every player in the starting lineup had an impact on the reigning champs. Along with Curry and Poole, Draymond Green also stepped up with a 17-point performance.

Stephen Curry handed the ball to Green in the fourth quarter with two minutes left to play. Green tried to make a layup as he analyzed the opening in front of him. Green fell to the ground and ran off the court while proclaiming that the shot was successful. The four-time champion, though, had actually missed the basket. He flexed his muscles and gave the air a punch. Green also shouted a couple of “come-ons” and “yes let’s go” as he continued to rejoice.

Green said“At times, I thought we were doing a pretty good job and it wasn’t falling our way. They were hitting crazy shots. But we stuck with it.” The Wizards made it difficult for the Warriors to win even though they did. During the Wizards’ 118-point performance, Kristaps Porzingis scored 32 points, while Monte Morris scored 17. The Warriors though got the dub at 127-118.

The Warriors shared a video of Curry earlier this week on their Instagram account. The two-time MVP finally showed his actual feelings on meeting President Biden in the White House in this video. He said, “Ready to go road-tripping, Going to see the President.”

After that, he discussed the visit with the media. Curry told reporters, according to a Fox News report, “Excited about just the celebration of what we did last year. It’s kind of like the one last moment to reflect on the accomplishment.”

Curry and the Warriors visited President Obama in 2016, but this is their first time visiting the White House since. Following their victories in 2017 and 2018, the Warriors skipped a meeting with President Trump. Curry once acknowledged that this resulted in a lot of “drama.”
