LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers registered their 8th win from the 20th game this season. Starting their season on a very low note the Lakers have won 6 of their last 8 games. Since Dennis Schroder has returned to the team the team’s chemistry has been changing and taking shape with every game.

The Lakers’ superstar, LeBron James scored game-high 31 points in the Lakers win. The 4x MVP started perfectly from the field as he hit 7 of his first 7 shots from the field. A few of the shots that LeBron took in the second quarter were an early signal that he might have a hot hand in the game. He made two fadeaway jump shots, signaling he was feeling it.

James scored 12 of 18 shots from the field and shot the lights out from the three-point line. He made a total of 6 three-pointers in the game before he exited late in the 4th quarter when the Lakers had secured the win. He had 8 assists and grabbed 7 rebounds in the game.

Unlike the last game where James was absent on both ends after making bad shots in the fourth quarter. The Lakers understood their mistake in the last game against the Pacers and made sure Davis gets his touches. Davis ended up scoring 27 points for the Lakers, of which 14 came in the fourth quarter. After the game, the 4x NBA champion, LeBron James said of Davis, “I think he was just himself in the fourth quarter……. we had a lot of conversations about how we could be better, especially in the fourth quarter, and AD is a big part of that. … He’s too big-time for our team not to have the ball in his hands.”

Austin Reaves is perhaps filling in for Alex Caruso’s love that the fans were missing. The young star has been averaging over 15 points in the last 9 games for the Lakers. He has been excellent from the 3-point line for the Lakers.

LeBron James gave Jusuf Nurkic a flashback

With 36.4 seconds remaining on the clock in the second quarter Thomas Bryant passed the ball to cutting Lebron James. The 37 years old ran from the free throw line mark and found Jusuf Nurkic in front of him. Determined to put Nurkic on the poster, LeBron took a flight but Nurkic sensing the danger got out of Bron’s way as he dunked.

Nurkic has been Bron’s victim before when James was in Cleveland and he hit one of the scariest hammers on the Blazers’ star. After seeing Nurkic get out of the way, fans took to Twitter to react to the play. One of them said, “Lmao someone had flashbacks”, another fan commented, “All you weird Laker fans who were hating on LeBron pls keep that same energy.”

The Lakers were without their high-flying man Lonnie Walker IV and Troy Brown Jr. Both have been crucial in their roles for Los Angeles. Speaking to the press after the game Darvin Ham had good words for LeBron and said, “One thing about Bron, he holds himself accountable.” He further added: “He’s trending individually in the right direction, and that’s key. It’s imperative.
