The Phoenix Suns have been one of the biggest threats in the NBA lately. Following their acquisition of point guard Chris Paul, the team quickly rose to power and dominated the Western Conference in 2021. The following year they finished as the best team in the entire league with a 64-18 record. While the team grew from being a tanker to a contender, their ownership took a massive blow to the gut.

During the recent off-season, Robert Sarver stepped down from his post as the owner of the Suns due to the numerous allegations put forth against him. Ever since several individuals have been linked to rumors of becoming their new owners. Even Shaquille O’Neal showed interest in becoming the team’s new owner but quickly turned down the opportunity after gaining knowledge about his competitors.

One of those competitors is rumored to be former US President Barack Obama. Kellan Olson, a reporter for Arizona Sports tweeted a video in which Obama said, “I wanted to come out here not only because it’s sunny and warm… but also you know there have been a lot of these rumors about me and the Phoenix Suns. Now I didn’t know I was in the market and by the way neither did Michelle.”

He ended his speech by saying, “But I will say this, the Suns are looking pretty good.” The Politician did not confirm that the rumors were true but he certainly recognizes the level of competition the team brings to the table.
