Ben Simmons being sidelined due to injury was the worst the Brooklyn Nets could have awaited moving into the playoffs. So far, the team has underperformed almost every game losing all three games of the series they have played against the Boston Celtics. The situation is slowly starting to get concerning as the series continues.
Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have not fared well over the last two games ultimately giving into a 0-3 deficit. Durant has been a walking turnover during this series averaging 5.6 TOV per game against the Celtics who are putting in all efforts to strip the veteran from his powers. Irving only put up 13 points per game in their last two matchups shooting 10-30 from the field.
Ben Simmons gets ruled out for Game 4 as Nets face potential sweep
Ben Simmons worked through a herniated disc shortly after being acquired by the Nets during the trade deadline in February. The player has been practicing in team scrimmages recently including shooting drills that may also be an attempt to improve his jumper. The player was rumored to make a return to the court either during Game 4 or 5.
Recently, Simmons was listed as out for Game 4 which is a big setback for Brooklyn entering a do or die situation on Monday night. According to Steve Nash, the player faced no problem during practice sessions with regard to his injury. But the coach has apparently had no hopes of the player returning said sports reporter Vincent Goodwill.

Ben Simmons has been making progress over the last few days as videos circulate the internet of him practicing his shots and taking part in drills. This obviously further created hype over his then potential return to the stage from Game 4 onwards. The recent injury report caught many off-guard bringing the player heavy criticism for backing out all of a sudden.

He said, “BEN SIMMONS WHAT THE F**K I BREAK YOUR F***ING BACK FOR REAL.” Simmons could be a huge asset to the team if healthy giving them an extra boost on the defensive end. However, the Nets desperately need a win to avoid a sweep and to extend the series further for their point guard to make a return in the following game.
