The Memphis Grizzlies were defeating the Los Angeles Lakers during a regular-season game between the two teams, and the younger players believed it was acceptable to insult LeBron James because of this. One of the Grizzlies decided to talk trash to LeBron while the team was on a 15-4 run.

This the last MF time I say it. You start making a couple shots, you start talking sh*t. Naw f*ck that, I don’t play that sh*t.”
On the very next possession, LeBron James went from end to end and slammed the ball over DPOY contender Jaren Jackson Jr. Hopefully, that was the last time these young players disrespected The King and they learned their lesson.

“I wish I could have watched it as a fan instead of sweating underneath my half-zip,” Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said with a smile after the game, Evidently unaware of the fact that such a tense conclusion wasn’t exactly calming for fans, either.
With a record of 21-25, Los Angeles is currently one game behind the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers for the 11th spot in the Western Conference. After difficult losses in the previous week, pulling a victory from a situation like today’s could turn out to be crucial for the team’s morale.
