Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the nicest guys in the league. But when you are an athlete resting and sleeping become one of the most important factors for your health. NBA players are often required to travel to other cities for playing games against other teams and getting tired on a daily basis is as common as morning chores for them.
Giannis got a bit cranky when his teammates Jrue Holiday and Serge Ibaka called him while the superstar was taking a nap. As it happened Ibaka learned it in a much harder way than he thought. Jrue Holiday, who is Giannis and Serge’s teammate with the Milwaukee Bucks appeared on Ibaka’s Podcast, “How hungry are you?” and FaceTimed Antetokounmpo which apparently interrupted the Bucks’ star’s nap time.
Holiday showed Giannis the drink that Ibaka served him on the podcast, and Giannis was definitely not a big fan of that drink. Last month, Giannis was also at Ibaka’s podcast and while he enjoyed the conversation with his teammate, he certainly wasn’t a big fan of the drink and food that Serge served. Once Giannis saw the drink on his screen, he brutally trolled Ibaka.

Roasting Ibaka on his own show, Giannis said, “Get that sh*t outta here, man! I don’t wanna drink that sh*t!” That was not the end, as Antetokounmpo had more in the tank as he added; “You are not a chef. You are not an artist. You are a role player and a rebounder… and screen setter. That’s what you are. Bye!” Holiday was showing Greek Freak the strange food and drinks that Ibaka was serving him.
The Milwaukee Bucks are among the top 2 teams in the NBA right now behind Boston Celtics. At some point in the 2022-23 season, they were 9-0 in the season before their first loss to Atlanta Hawks on November 7. The friendship among players blossom easily when the team is riding big on success, and Bucks are certainly having fun right now with great camaraderie among its players.
Giannis is having an MVP season and carried the larger part of the load while Khris Middleton was out with the injury. Ibaka is certainly not the primary choice in the Bucks’ rotation right now, but he is one of the crucial pieces on the floor when other big men are not. He is a great shot blocker and can score double digits points easily.
While Antetokounmpo and Holiday are definitely the head of the snake for the Milwaukee Bucks, players like Ibaka are crucial when the championship hopes are running high. Serge has definitely made a presence in the locker room despite being with the team for less than a year. Obviously, the comments were all in fun and game; this also shows how quickly Ibaka has been growing on the Bucks roster.
