Gilbert Arenas is back in the NBA headlines. And, the reason this time is once again a controversial take by Agent Zero. This time on the receiving end it’s not a player, duo, trio, or team. Instead, it’s the whole Eastern Conference. As Gilbert Arenas claims the whole conference is trash and unworthy.

Gilbert Arenas probably has no interest left in watching the ongoing Eastern Conference Finals and the to-be-played 2023 NBA Finals. As he’s not a fan of any team left in the competition. And, is just rolling around to have takes and stuff to throw out during interviews, features, and on his very own podcasts and shows.

On the recent episode of his podcast, “Gil’s Arena,” Gilbert Arena was disappointed with the fact that the Boston Celtics made it out alive from Game 4 against the Miami Heat. Discussing about them coming back he quoted: “They suck man. I mean the only reason that we even talk about these two sorry a** teams playing each other because one gotta win. But they both suck.”

Further, Gilbert Arenas criticized Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart for not backing up their words during the Game 4 dub. Then after defending the Los Angeles Lakers against Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, Gilbert Arenas suddenly started to thrash the whole Eastern Conference. And, disrespecting the whole conference while riding with Giannis, Gibby quoted: “Once Giannis went out the west was winning it. There’s nobody good enough in the East.”

Further, Gilbert Arenas added: “They are trash that doesn’t even matter (talking about Heats’ journey to the ECF). The East is trash so someone’s out of this trash gotta make it. But it doesn’t change that trash.” After, this just to prove his point and ride with the Los Angeles Lakers Gilbert Arenas came up with some senseless comparisons and takes.

Is Gilbert Arenas right by disrespecting the Heat-Celtics series?

Gilbert Arenas is already under the fire for disrespecting Nikola Jokic and Denver Nuggets as the champions. And, soon the story would be very same for his recent take on the Heat–Celtics series. He claimed the teams to be a “YMCA Team” and “sorry a** team.” But that’s just senseless. His take for the Miami Heat can be considered as they are a team of undrafted players and missing a lot many stars. But he probably forgot that they are a legendary 8th seed and on a historic run.

Also, the Boston Celtics have a great shot at making history by coming back from a 0-3 deficit and the rollercoaster series the basketball world is spectating by no means is trash.

His take on the Eastern Conference is also wrong, as just because the stars moved to the West doesn’t mean the conference becomes trash and has no chances. He’s just disrespecting the sport and the league with such claims instead of enjoying the showdowns.
