Grant Williams is all over the NBA headlines and the reason this time isn’t his on-court greats. Instead, it’s the Halloween costume he decided to wear against the Washington Wizards. Obviously, he was wearing his jersey while being on the floor. But the rest of the time during his pre-game and post-game interviews, Grant Williams was dressed up as BATMAN.
Since the last year, Grant Williams wanted to be called “BATMAN” as he did a phenomenal job while guarding the Joker, Nikola Jokic (two-time reigning MVP of the league). But not many agreed to it, especially the fans and Jayson Tatum. And, this year Grant Williams shocked everyone by showing up dressed up as BATMAN.
The BATMAN costume of Grant Williams helped the team break out of their two-game losing streak. And, on the receiving end, it was the Washington Wizards at 112-94. Grant Williams the very dependable guy on the team contributed with 10 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds. He also backed up Jayson Tatum (23 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds) and Jaylen Brown (24 points, 2 assists and 10 rebounds) on both the ends.
And, Grant Williams also shocked Jayson Tatum and made him drop the F-Word during his interview when he was dressed up as BATMAN. As watching him in that costume, while he’s trying to answer the reporters in the deepest voice he possibly can. JT was left in disbelief as he yelled: “Yo what the fu*k are you doing?”
Not just Jayson Tatum but even the fans are lost, confused, amazed and have so many emotions running through them. As watching Grant Williams in a Batman costume isn’t something one would expect. Also, the fans are loving the vibes in Boston as the offseason went pretty bad for them due to Ime Udoka. But now they are back and will look to get another trip to the NBA Finals.
